Maths

On Thursday room 12 did maths. The porohita's are learning to use our 5 time tables to solve our 6 7 and eights and using our 10s to solve our 9s. Before I didn't understand but now I understand way better an example would be 7x7 you would split the7 to into 5 and 2 and the other 7 you would split into 4 and 3. So then you would go 5x7 then 2 x 7 plus them together and the answer is 49

Buddy Reading

Last week on Thursday room12 had buddy reading with room4. Once we read to them we took them for a walk around the school and showed them all the solar panels. We showed them the panels on the library and the R.T.L.B office. We counted 12 panels on the library and 6 on the R.T.L.B. office.

For reading the jelly babies are reading a book called Storm breaker. Its about this boy called Alex rider and his uncle and his uncle dies. He becomes a spy and he tries to find out who killed his uncle and why. We have certain chapters we have to read up to and questions to answer by certain days of the week. It is the most interesting book I've read and hope to finish it soon.
